Mind Matters is a student organization that hopes to raise awareness about mental health issues in the Yale community. We encourage dialogue on mental health while directing students to Yale’s advising resources should they be in need of help.
Every year, Mind Matters hosts speakers on mental health, “de-stress” study breaks, discussions in conjunction with peer liaisons, and film screenings. Mind Matters also works with the Yale College Council to improve resources for students.
Yale needs to confront the issue of mental health. The intensity of campus life lends to stress, and many students first discover disorders when they reach college. Yet discussing mental health remains taboo. It also is far too easy to stereotype peers with disorders. Mind Matters hopes to change this as much as possible; please join if you would like to help too!

- To educate students about these issues through guest speakers, film screenings, and newsletters.
- To serve as a liaison between students and the mental health community.
